Indigenous Acknowledgement.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Owners.
In keeping with the spirit of Reconciliation, we at Hands Full of Hope Counselling acknowledge the Turrbal, Jagera/Yuggera, Kabi Kabi and Jinibara and Bundjalung Peoples as the Traditional Owners of the lands we use – and recognise that these have always been places of teaching and learning and spiritual journeys.
We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging – and acknowledge the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the community.
We also wish to respect their ways and as counsellors we use the ways of the ancestors and spirits in our counselling, rather than the ways of logic, to find remedies. We acknowledge these ways were and in some cases are still used by the indigenous people of this land. We pay great respect to those ancestors who have guided us to this way of counselling and pray it might help bridge gaps and bring great healing. We thank our ancestors of the Kuyani Mob and invite other mobs for healing and stories in peace .
